Introduction
My name is Keyan Lunders and I am the owner of Slick's Concrete NWA. I have been working on developing this refined Lifestyle pool offer for several years, and this page here is my first formal opportunity to tell you about it.
Many of the most rewarding things in life often come from long periods of planning, preparation, and training; followed by one continuous push of monumental effort. And that is, in part, what this long page of text is. Communicating months and even years of learning, planning, and perfecting this pool offer to bring my clients a one of a kind product and experience.

So you can be assured that the information I am about to cover is from my years of experience and planning, and was written in one continuous writing session from start to finish.
What is a Lifestyle Pool
A lifestyle pool is a compact backyard pool. Designed around functionality and fun, the Lifestyle Pool is intended to upgrade your life without having to change where you live.
I have spent the last seven years building patios and outdoor living spaces in backyards all around Northwest Arkansas. Very few of these yards that I have worked in could realistically fit an inground swimming pool without it taking up all of the available yard space and becoming an all consuming outdoor feature. My pools are designed to be a central feature of your backyard without taking over the whole space.
Lifestyle Pool Sizes
The Lifestyle pool is designed to fit into a footprint of 12'x12' up to 12'x24' and two round options with 14' and 18' diameter. The pool will sit with 18"-24" of the pool wall above ground and the deepest depth offered is 54".
This design serves several purposes. One is to help ensure safety of small children and pets without the need of an added pool fence. The second is that this raised design allows for a more conversational environment between those inside and those outside the pool. Third, this raised portion of pool wall gives an additional opportunity to add design elements on the exterior of the exposed wall to better tie in the pool to the house and outdoor living area. Think stone, brick, or stucco that matches or complements the house aesthetic.
How is the Pool Built
The Lifestyle pool may have a smaller footprint, but the construction quality and longevity are the same or better than that of a traditional large pool. I have designed Lifestyle pools to not only improve your lifestyle, but also to last a lifetime.
Reinforced concrete structure
Built with a reinforced 8-inch concrete wall, this pool is designed to last 30+ years with no concern for structural integrity. The exterior of the pool wall gets fully waterproofed and surrounded by a clean gravel drainage tile. This exterior waterproofing and drainage is not possible on a traditional gunite pool, and will help prevent long-term degradation of the concrete and rebar structural shell of the pool. The exposed upper section of the exterior wall will then be finished with your chosen decorative finish.
Premium PVC liner interior
The interior of the pool is a 60 mil PVC liner membrane that is welded on site to provide a trusted and aesthetic watertight finish. Not only are the liners beautiful and easy on your skin, they are also incredibly durable. It is not like the traditional drop-in 30 mil liners that you may be familiar with. This liner is a textured, high-quality PVC membrane that is strong enough to resist punctures from dogs' claws and other sharp objects. There are many color options to choose from, and they vary from simple single-color options to more gradient designs.
Custom patio surround
Surrounding the pool will be concrete patio space that fits your aesthetic, either a simple broomed finish or a more expressive stamped concrete design.
I have been perfecting my concrete skills working for myself for seven years now and truly love to pour concrete, especially decorative patios. This is another part of the project that I can really customize to fit your taste.
Premium automated equipment
All Lifestyle pools come with top-of-the-line fully automated pool equipment. All pools come standard with a salt chlorine generator for a better skin feel and to keep you from having to deal with expensive and harsh chemicals. An electric heat pump with chilling also comes standard with every build. This heat/chill pump combined with the smaller pool size gives your family a longer and more energy-efficient swim season. The heat/chill pump can heat the pool to spa levels and chill it cold enough for a legitimate cold plunge, or it can just keep the pool at a comfortable swim temperature all season.
Landscape and audio options
Because the Lifestyle pool is designed to upgrade your lifestyle, I have also included a simple low-voltage landscape-lighting setup in every package. These lights will be on the exterior of the exposed pool wall and surrounding the patio space. I also encourage you to ask me about upgrading your pool package to include an outdoor audio system with several perimeter speakers and a small buried subwoofer.
Who is Building the Pool
I am. Keyan Lunders. I will be hands-on every day completing every aspect of your entire project. The only subcontractor I will use is the licensed electrician that bonds the pool shell and sets up power for the equipment pad.
Many pool construction projects are sold by a salesman and then managed by a project manager while the work itself is divided and completed by various subcontractors. However, for my builds I will be serving as the salesman, project manager, and the primary labor force. The subcontractor lineup for a large pool build would typically include an excavation crew, a rebar and gunite crew, a plumbing guy, tile and plaster crew, a concrete/hardscape crew, and a landscape crew.
When you work with me you avoid the headache of relying on various subcontractors to keep your project moving. I have spent my entire adult career becoming an expert in residential concrete construction. I encourage you to check out my reviews on Google to read about what it is like to work with me.
I have designed the Lifestyle pool from the ground up to be built by me and a few helping hands for certain tasks. The build process is designed to be extremely efficient, working on only one pool project at a time, every day, until it is finished. The total time to completion is estimated to be 45-60 days from the day construction starts.
