Lifestyle Pools · Northwest Arkansas
Upgrade your life without changing where you live.
A Lifestyle Pool is a compact, semi-in-ground concrete pool designed for the more typical backyards many of us have here in Northwest Arkansas.
I build each pool around a refined set of sizes, materials, and equipment. The goal is to give you a serious permanent pool without it taking over the whole yard.

At a glance
A more practical approach to having a pool
A pool should add to the backyard, not erase it.

I have spent the last seven years building patios and outdoor living spaces in backyards all around Northwest Arkansas.
During that time, I saw how many otherwise great backyards could not fit a traditional inground pool without the pool becoming the entire yard. That is what led me to develop the Lifestyle Pool.
The smaller footprint leaves room for the parts of your backyard you already enjoy. The raised wall also makes the pool feel connected to the surrounding patio, seating, and covered areas instead of feeling separated from them.
A Lifestyle Pool can be heated for a longer swim season, chilled during the hottest part of summer, or simply kept at a comfortable temperature for everyday use.
Five standard options
Choose the footprint that fits.
Standardizing the sizes allows me to build the pool efficiently while still giving you plenty of choices in the finishes, patio layout, equipment, and surrounding outdoor space.
12' × 12'
The smallest footprint and the most compact version of the Lifestyle Pool.
12' × 16'
A little more length while still fitting comfortably into a smaller backyard.
12' × 22'
The largest rectangular footprint, with the most room for swimming and gathering.
14' round
A compact round option that can work well in yards where a rectangle feels too rigid.
18' round
The largest round footprint and a good fit for more open backyard layouts.
The pool will typically sit 18–24 inches above the surrounding grade. The deepest depth offered is 54 inches.
The footprint is smaller. The construction is not.
Built as a permanent part of your backyard.
A Lifestyle Pool is not an above-ground pool surrounded by a patio. It is a reinforced-concrete pool structure with a fitted interior membrane, exterior waterproofing, drainage, and a finished exposed wall.
Reinforced concrete structure
The rectangular pools are built with reinforced 8-inch concrete walls. The round pools use reinforced 6-inch concrete walls.
Exterior waterproofing and drainage
The buried portion of the pool wall is waterproofed on the outside and surrounded by clean gravel drainage.
60 mil PVC interior
The reinforced PVC membrane is fitted and welded on site. It is thicker than a traditional 30 mil drop-in liner.
A finished exterior wall
The exposed wall can be finished with textured stucco, stacked stone, vertical stamped concrete, or another coordinated finish.
What comes with the pool
The important parts are already included.
The standard Lifestyle Pool package is designed to be complete without relying on a long list of upgrades. It includes the equipment, finishes, lighting, and patio work needed for a finished pool project.

Automated pool equipment
Hayward Omni automation, a variable-speed pump, cartridge filter, salt chlorine generator, returns, suction, and pool lighting.
Heating and chilling
An electric heat-and-chill unit that can extend the swim season or cool the water during the hottest weeks of summer.
Concrete patio
Concrete patio space around the pool with options ranging from a simple broom or sand finish to stamped concrete.
Low-voltage lighting
Lighting on the exposed pool wall and around the patio to make the space comfortable to use after dark.
Startup and orientation
A walkthrough of the equipment, automation, water care, and normal maintenance before the project is complete.
Who is building the pool?
I am.
My name is Keyan Lunders, and I am the owner of Slick's Concrete NWA.
I will be hands-on throughout the project, completing the excavation, concrete structure, plumbing, equipment setup, exterior finishes, lighting, patio, and cleanup with a few helping hands when needed.
The licensed electrician who bonds the pool and supplies power to the equipment is the primary subcontractor involved.
I have designed the Lifestyle Pool to be built this way on purpose. I work on one pool project at a time and continue working on it until it is finished.
You will not buy the project from a salesman and then wait to see which group of subcontractors arrives in your backyard.

See what the work actually looks like
Start with the A Street Pool.
The A Street Pool is larger and more custom than the five standard Lifestyle Pool footprints, but it is where I proved that I could bring every part of a pool and outdoor living project together.
My crew and I completed the concrete pool structure, plumbing, equipment, pool finishes, decorative wall facade, low-voltage lighting, and decorative concrete pool deck.
I think of the project as the thesis project of my concrete career so far. If you are seriously considering having me build your pool, I can also arrange for you to see the A Street Pool in person.
Straightforward pricing
How much does a Lifestyle Pool cost?
Lifestyle Pool packages are priced between $92,000 and $110,000, depending on the footprint.
Your final price will depend on the footprint, property access, site conditions, exterior finish, patio selections, and any added features.
What changes the final price
The biggest variables are the pool footprint, access to the backyard, exterior wall finish, patio selections, and any added outdoor-living features.
You can compare the exact options when you reach the estimate builder.

Use the estimate builder to compare the five footprints, standard features, finishes, and available additions.
This will give you a clearer idea of what you want and whether the general price range makes sense before we schedule a visit.
Build & Price Your PoolOn-site visit
I will meet you at your home so we can walk the backyard together.
We will look at access, slope, utilities, drainage, the available space, and where the pool could sit. We will also talk through the footprint, patio layout, finishes, and any additional features you are considering.
Sign the contract
Once the scope, price, and major selections are settled, I will prepare the written agreement for your project.
The agreement will cover what is included, the payment schedule, the estimated construction timeline, and what you can expect while I am working at your home. Signing the agreement reserves your place on my construction schedule.
Submit for permit
I will prepare and submit the required city permit documents before construction begins.
If your neighborhood has an HOA or Architectural Control Committee, I will also help provide the project information needed for that approval.
Build the pool
Once the permit is approved and your scheduled start date arrives, construction begins.
I work on one pool project at a time and continue working on it every day that conditions allow until it is complete. The estimated construction time is 45–60 days, although weather, inspections, and unusual site conditions can extend the schedule.

This overview gives you the main points. The Lifestyle Pool page covers much of the same information, with more of the thinking behind why I developed the pool, how it is built, and what I want the building and ownership experience to be like.
